Enroute to Florida, we stopped by Foley, Alambama for lunch at Lambert's Cafe. Known as the "home of the thrown roll". This is the funnest place I have ever eaten. Karen had never been here before and she has a heck of a sense of humor, so I knew she'd get a kick out it.
It's very unique, festive atmosphere.
The waiters literally throw you a roll from across the room! I had to duck a couple of times. LOL
And they are warm, good and huge!
The food is all good southern cooking with huge portions at reasonable rates. Karen and I both got a half rack of ribs with two sides. And if that weren't enough, they come around with "passarounds" of fried okra, black-eyed peas, fried potatoes and onions.
While you're eating the waiters come around playing practical jokes, like pretending to dump a pitcher of ice tea on you with a fake pitcher. It was hysterical to watch some of the reactions! LOL
Needless to say, we were way too full and had leftovers to go.
We landed in a beautiful RV park near Tallahassee for the night.
